Module Adaptation
Embedded modules in high-low temperature test chambers are constantly exposed to severe thermal cycling. Repeated expansion and contraction of the aluminum profile exerts pressure on the steel guide rail, leading to unexpected jamming. Conventional fixed mounting methods cannot handle such extreme conditions — a targeted thermal displacement compensation design is required.
Root Cause: Mismatched Thermal Expansion
Aluminum alloy and steel have different coefficients of thermal expansion. Temperature variations cause the profile to squeeze or pull the rail, drastically increasing contact stress on the ball screw raceway. This can result in sudden motion resistance spikes or even instantaneous locking.

Floating End Design for Axial Compensation
One end of the module is fixed as a reference, while the other end uses a sliding support. This allows the profile to expand and contract freely along its length. The floating structure absorbs axial deformation, preventing stress from transferring to the guide rail.
Slot Holes with Spring Washers for Lateral Buffering
Bolt holes are redesigned as elongated slots paired with wave spring washers, allowing micro-adjustment of the mounting surface. The washers provide damping and elastic cushioning, converting rigid locking into flexible adaptation and preventing lateral expansion from directly compressing the rail raceway.
Temperature Compensation Algorithm
The control system applies real-time reverse correction based on measured temperature, compensating for profile length variation. This works alongside the mechanical floating design to address both positioning deviation and jamming risks.
Assembly Clearance for Thermal Expansion
During room-temperature assembly, adequate initial clearance is reserved between the rail and滑块, as well as between the profile end and limit stops. This ensures smooth operation across the full temperature range without binding during contraction or expansion.
Bottom Line: A well-designed thermal compensation structure for the guide rail completely eliminates the risk of thermal-expansion-induced jamming, ensuring long-term smooth operation of embedded modules in wide-temperature-range environments.
